The Beach

If you love the beach or swimming in the sea, everything you could wish for is in Marseillan ! don't hold back, sink your feet into the warm sand and enjoy the feel of its golden grains.

You can lie on the beach or relax and play sport - don't hesitate, but come and paticipate in a beach volleyball, sandball or football tournament. You can also attend classes at the gym or go jogging.

The beaches are cleaned daily, so you can let your children play and get covered in sand from head to toe. The shoreline slopes gently into the sea, so your children can paddle and splash about in the shallows in complete safety - four manned lifeguard posts ensure that the beach is as safe as possible.

As far as organised activities are concerned , the children have not been forgotten and they can partipate in sandcastle competitions, mini Olympics and drawing competitions.

There are numerous activities on offer - information is available from the Tourist Office or from the first-aid post on the beach .

The beach is accessible to all and has been provided with specialist equipment for disabled people :

-- faciroule : (a carpet on the sandthat is designed to allow wheelchair access to the beach),
- tiralos (tricycles to enabledisabled people to swim in the sea); these are available on request from the harbor master's office in July and August.
